PROJECT LOCATION: 29900 Ladyface Circle, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, APN 2061-005-915
PROJECT ZONING/LAND USE DESIGNATION: Planned Development/Planned Development (Ladyface Mountain Specific Plan area)
CASE NOS: 13-CUP-002, 13-VAR-002, 13-OTP-005
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of new building construction and adaptive re-use of an existing temple and associated school facilities in order to construct a City Recreation Center. The Recreation Center would house classrooms, meeting rooms, a community dining room, large multi-purpose rooms, and Recreation Center administrative offices. The project would consist of a building complex of a total 25,330 square feet, with structures up to a height of 35 feet. Of the existing nearly 16,000 square feet of buildings, 4,219 square feet would be demolished. The remainder would be renovated and incorporated into the new City Recreation Center. The City Recreation Center Project would also include re-grading a portion of the existing parking lot (which will contain 114 spaces), and creation of outdoor decks, courtyards and a pathway along the site perimeter, and a slight realignment of the existing access driveway. The request is for a Conditional Use Permit to construct the facility, a variance to exceed the maximum retaining wall height standard of six feet by four feet (total 10-foot high wall), and an Oak Tree Permit for construction work in proximity to oak trees.
